Maggie Cart heeft Big T’s golf shop voortgezet, ze zit op de zelfde weg waar vroeger Big T zat. Ik weet niet precies waar, maar het zou halverwege het kruispunt en Big T moeten zijn.

Geachte lezers,

Ik wilde graag een eenvoudige ‘poll’ houden vwb de kwaliteit van de golf banen in Citrus County, zodat alle lezers een beetje een idee krijgen van de kwaliteit van andere golfbanen in de omgeving. Heeft U recentelijk op een baan gespeeld anders dan Lakeside laat het onze lezers dan weten.

Ik zou graag het volgende willen weten :

1. Kwaliteit greens
2. Kwaliteit fairway
3. Kwaliteit Teebox
4. Moeilijkheids graad golfbaan
5. Green Fee Prijs
6. Opmerkingen (vrije tekst)

Het is de bedoeling dat U de baan een rating geeft van 1 (slecht) tot 5 (uitmunted). Bijvoorbeeld :

Lakeside Golf Course : 1=5, 2=3, 3=3, 4=2, 5=4

Ok, ok, ……  ik zal hier wel wat commentaar op krijgen …… ha ha ha, maar nu serieus, Remco en ik hebben verleden week The Dunes gespeeld en hier is onze rating :

The Dunes : 1=4, 2=4, 3=4, 4=5, 5=5

(opmerking : Prijs krijgt alleen een 5 vanwege een discount coupon “2 playes for the price of one”. Wij betaalde $ 30 op Zaterdag morgen. The Dunes ligt er prachtig bij !)

The 18-hole “Pine Ridge” course at the Pine Ridge Community Golf & Country Club facility in Beverly Hills, Florida features 6,106 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 68.6 and it has a slope rating of 120. Designed by Brian Almony, the Pine Ridge golf course opened in 1982.

This club has an eighteen hole regulation course and a nine hole par 3 course. The eighteen hole Pine Ridge Course was cut out of a forest, and it’s design places and emphasis on accuracy. The rolling fairways are bordered by pines, black oaks, and live oaks. The greens roll faster than average (8-9 on the stimpmeter). Water comes into play on hole #8. The club has recently opened a par 3 course adjacent to the championship course. The greens on the Little Pine Par 3 Course are large and undulating, and the fairways can be tricky. This is an excellent course for beginning and experienced golfers alike. Walking is permitted on the Little Pine Course only. There is also a driving range and practice green on site.
