Dit Shell Station was tegenover het vliegveld. Het is dat de tank leeg was, dus toch voor een paar dollar getanked. 2 blokken verderop was de prijs $ 2.59…. Ik denk dat ze misbruik maken van het feit dat toeristen nog even af moeten tanken voordat ze de rental car terug brengen.

Niet normaal …… Ja, ja … ik weet het in NL is het nog duurder ……

Het was erg vroeg vanmorgen voor de meesten NL-ers in Inverness, maar het was lekker druk en gezellig ongeveer 20 tot 30 mensen in het oranje. Het was geen geweldige pot, maar 3 punten en 2 goals zijn binnen. De broodjes en donuts waren van het huis.  Op naar de volgende pot.

Ik heb van “van der Valk” (Jessica) vernomen dat de wedstrijden van het NL-XI in het restaurant worden uitgezonden op het grote scherm, helaas zonder ontbijt …… We kunnen toch wel een bakkie met oranje gebak kopen ?

Het zijn de NL uitzendingen ’streamed’ via het internet en het commentaar van de wedstrijden worden verzorgd in het Nederlands door Wouter Huisman … dat wordt wat hoor !!!

Hieronder de datum en de lokale tijd in Inverness (start van de uitzending in het Restaurant) en het Amerikaanse TV kanaal mocht U geen zin hebben om om 07:00 in het restaurant te zitten.

Aan alle NL die op deze datums hier in Inverness zijn : Geef mij niet de schuld als het uitzend schema niet klopt per slot van rekening is voetbal niet zo populair in de USA als in de rest van de wereld.

Ik weet niet of het grote scherm op gaat in het restaurant, maar ik neem aan van wel. Dus trek je oranje shirt aan bij de westrijden van onze jongens.

We already knew that Sky Sports legend Martin Tyler will be the lead commentator. Which is a coup. The man knows his business, so there will be no “Michael Beckham” faux pas this year. ESPN also confirmed that:

1. All 64 matches will be broadcast live.
2. In high definition.
3. On either ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC.

Of those 64 matches, 52 will be simulcast online at ESPN360.com.

ESPN will present comprehensive coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup June 11, through July 11, from 10 stadiums in nine cities across South Africa.  All 64 matches will be aired live and in high definition on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC, and extensive coverage on ESPN360.com and ESPN Mobile TV.  In addition, 2010 FIFA World Cup studio programs, including prematch, halftime and postmatch segments, will be presented in high definition.

ESPN will air 44 FIFA World Cup matches from South Africa – the most ever for the network in one tournament.  ESPN2 will feature 10 matches.  ABC will broadcast 10, beginning with the U.S. Men’s National Team’s tournament opener vs. England on Saturday, June 12, at 2 p.m. ET in Rustenburg.  The tournament will conclude on ABC with the title match Sunday, July 11, at 1:30 p.m. ET from the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg.

Coverage will begin Friday, June 11, on ESPN, ESPN360.com and ESPN Mobile TV, with the tournament’s opening match at 9:30 a.m. from the Soccer City in Johannesburg, host country South Africa versus Mexico.
